How to Style Your Home Tonally

Spending so much more time in the house has really got me paying super close attention to how cozy and inviting a room is. Personally I love clean and crisp colors like white but adding in warmer tones of beige brings a little more relaxation to a room.

Tonal decorating is the technique of using the same colors in various shades to bring definition and cohesiveness to a room or space.

In our living room we used gray, and beige tones. These colors are minimal, I think they are easy on the eye and very inviting.

Tip: A really easy way to start is picking one basic color like white, black, or beige and buying decorations in that one color. Here, you can see the mirror, pillows, and decorations on the table are all the same color:

Then you'll notice how the color gray is incorporated from the lamp, chairs, and wall color. The rug is both beige and gray and ties the two colors of the room together perfectly.

Super easy!

White is another color used in this room and it's so dreamy.

The curtains and couch are both the same color along with a few throw blankets. I think having a plain yet cute couch is extremely important since it's often the focal point of the room.

And last but not least, the coffee table. Yes the pops of pink aren't apart of this tonal color scheme but they're fun and we love them.
